Pricing & Plan Limits

OTA-Pulse is offered in multiple tiers, from a free tier for small fleets up to Business for large-scale deployments. Every tier includes OTA updates, monitoring, and crash reporting for your embedded Linux fleet — every paid tier adds Remote SSH — and tiers differ in included capacity, support level, and features. Microcontroller fleets are a separate add-on; see MCU fleets below.

What counts against each cap

  • Devices — active devices registered to your organization.
  • Assets — firmware artifacts/releases stored per organization, counted at artifact upload. There is no overage for assets — the asset cap is a hard limit on every tier.
  • Data points/month — monitoring metric ingest volume from the socmond daemon on embedded Linux devices. MCU telemetry is not counted here.
  • Remote SSH sessions — maximum concurrent Remote SSH sessions across your organization. The Free tier does not include Remote SSH.

MCU fleets

Microcontroller fleets are not covered by the tiers above. OTA-Pulse MCU is a separate entitlement, billed per active MCU device per month on top of whichever tier your embedded Linux fleet is on, and enabled by our team rather than through self-service checkout — see platform support for what MCU covers.

Because it is a distinct entitlement, an organization can hold a tier for its Linux fleet without MCU access, or hold MCU access alongside any tier including Free. Firmware upload and campaign routes return 402 for organizations without it.

Overage

On paid tiers, exceeding your included devices or data points is billed at the tier’s overage rate (shown in the table above) rather than blocked outright, if your organization has overage billing enabled. The Free tier and the asset cap have no overage — they are hard limits.
